Voormedia B.V. is committed to protecting personal information provided to it. We will only process this information after approval and use it in accordance with our privacy policy, which will be explained in detail in this Privacy Statement.
Voormedia is located at Meeuwenlaan 100, 1021 JL in Amsterdam. This Privacy Statement describes which personal data we collect from you, how and when we process this personal data.
When do we collect your personal data?
Voormedia processes personal data from the moment you apply for one of our vacancies or the moment you show concrete interest after you have been approached for one of our vacancies.
Voormedia will also proactively collect data if these are posted on public channels or channels purchased by Voormedia, where a reasonable suspicion arises that there is an active search for a new job (job sites, social media, etc.). In all cases, we will process your data in accordance with our conditions and with due observance of this Privacy Statement.
What data does Voormedia process?
Voormedia processes the personal data that are necessary for the assessment of a candidate. Some of this information is mandatory in order to be included in our application process. Additional information may be desirable to form a better picture of the connection between you and Voormedia.
When registering, the following data is registered:
- Name and address details, e-mail address and other contact details;
- CV, data on education and employment history, availability and leave;
- other matters insofar as required by law or insofar as you have given permission for this.
- If applicable, Voormedia processes data on behalf of its clients in the context of a pre-employment screening. Think of things like a statement of conduct.
Why does Voormedia collect personal data?
Your personal data will be used by Voormedia for the following purposes:
- to be able to assess your suitability and availability in connection with vacancies within Voormedia;
- for legal and regulatory compliance, including but not limited to identification, labor law, tax and social security law, anti-fraud, and national and international sanctions laws.
Using your data by us as described above is permitted under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) because:
- it is necessary for our legitimate interests in pursuing the purposes set out above, whereby these interests in each individual case may not outweigh your privacy interests;
- in some cases we have to comply with our obligations under laws and regulations; * whether this data has been processed with your consent.
Retention period
Voormedia uses a retention period of a maximum of 4 weeks pending approval for the processing of your data. With approval, Voormedia will not store your data for longer than is necessary for the purposes for which this data was collected and adheres to the applicable laws and regulations by means of a retention period of a maximum of 12 months.
If you have registered with Voormedia in the context of a (possibly) suitable new employment contract, this collaboration is not bound to a specific period.
If you are no longer interested in a job or traineeship within Voormedia, you can unsubscribe via your contact person at Voormedia. Depending on your wishes, your data will be permanently removed from our secure database.
Certain personal data may be available for a longer period of time in a protected environment during the legally applicable term and solely to comply with employment law, tax and/or social security obligations.
Security
Voormedia makes every effort to optimally protect your personal data against unauthorized use. Voormedia does this on the basis of physical, administrative, organizational and technical measures. With companies that process your data on behalf of Voormedia, Voormedia concludes a processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data.
Your rights
You have the right to view, request and/or change your personal data. You can request this at any time via your contact person at Voormedia and/or via our general email address ([email protected]). In addition, you can request to supplement, view, correct or delete your data at any time via the procedure described above. Finally, you have the right to a copy of your personal data. Voormedia strives within two weeks of receipt of your request to respond to your request.
Questions, comments, complaints or (suspicion of) a data breach?
If you have any questions, comments or complaints about the protection of your personal data by Voormedia, you can contact us via [email protected] or by post (Voormedia B.V., attn. Bas Lemmens, Meeuwenlaan 100, 1021JL in Amsterdam).
You can also submit a complaint about our processing of your personal data to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
If there is a (suspected) data breach, we request that you report this immediately by sending an email to our privacy officer via [email protected]. Please state in this email at least your first and last name, your contact details and a description of the situation.
Changes to Privacy Statement
Voormedia reserves the right to make changes, additions or amendments to the Privacy Statement. The most current Privacy Statement can be viewed at all times on the Voormedia website.
